The Lion Bed & Breakfast Gwytherin, Nr Llanrwst North Wales
On the edge of the Snowdonia National Park lies the village of Gwytherin. Fifteen hundred years ago Gwytherin was a destination for early Christian Pilgrims, today it is a small hamlet surrounding The Lion, now a welcoming Bed and Breakfast.
Originally a row of small cottages dating back to the 17th Century, The Lion was one of the oldest Inns in North Wales.
Comfortable accommodation is offered in 3 beautifully furnished en-suite rooms and a separate comfortable ‘Bothy’ sleeping up to 4. The beds are comfortable, TV and DVD players DVDs and generous beverage trays offer little extras. Suppers and bar by arrangement.
Fireside (in-season) suppers are available by arrangement and a generous breakfast is provided, using local produce wherever possible.
The foot of Snowdon is a 45-minute drive, Betws-y-Coed 20 minutes, Llandudno and historic Conwy and castle 30 minutes, Chester is under an hours drive. Zip World (fforest) is a 20 min drive and Surf Snowdonia is half an hour. Guided climbs (subject to availability) can be arranged with a trusted, experienced mountain guide. All rooms are let on a “per room, per night” basis and include a full cooked breakfast (except The Bothy).

Single Occupancy – As above less £10
Bothy – £70 (For up to 2 persons) and £15 per extra person (breakfast available at £10 per person)
During your stay
During your stay, the Bar is available to Residents by arrangement and occasionally to non-residents. Evening suppers are available by prior arrangement. Family/ friends of guests are more than welcome to join you also by prior arrangement.
